So I then ran CFGINST with U, and it emitted the same messages INSTALL U had. But apparently it was deleting the 1.0 objects which had been problematic for 1.1 INSTALL I. And now when I ran 1.1 INSTALL with the I response there were no problem messages and the 1.1 install completed properly. Case closed.

During Linux install I set the mount points to be /boot, /, /usr, and /home. Installation went flawlessly. It fails every time at that same file. I can install an older version of FS no problem. Dell support is no help. I have tried reinstalling Windows XP at their suggestion. It doesn't work. Now they tell me it's a software issue and not their problem. Any suggestions on how I can get an install completed?
